You'll see how one person loses his mind from his perspective and then get to see the seemingly random attack from another. These stories are interesting, intertwined and gruesome. Each character is ushered into an interrogation room and exposed to their greatest fear. Instead, we start with the survivors being saved and are then treated to their personal accounts of what the heck happened down there. The movie doesn't play out in chronological order. Where Dead Space Aftermath excels is in its storytelling. Of course, as we've previously discussed, the Marker makes monsters and drives people insane, so things go to hell as soon as the first piece is found. Half the squad is there to stabilize the planet while the other half is there to collect Marker fragments. There's nothing beyond the ability to turn on subtitles and an overwatched Dead Space 2 trailer (That i'm sure we've all watched 500+ times in anticipation to the game).In Aftermath, the crew of the O'Bannon lands on Aegis VII. ![]() Voice acting is decent and in sync with the animated characters. Compared to Downfall, this film makes it look like Downfall was a multi-million dollar film. Some of the acting can be over the top, but the gruesome deaths more than make up for it. The four takes on the same story are somewhat cool and entertaining. Instead, rent it or watch it on Netflix if you can!īut, if you are a Dead Space fan like me, you must watch this film to fill out the gaps between Dead Space 1 & 2. This film is not worth buying in my opinion at the ludicrous price of $25. But nothings perfect.Īt least, the story was decent which helped me stay through till the end. The constant shifting from 2d to 3d drove me nuts. Bleh, I am a huge fan of the Dead Space franchise and was somewhat disappointed in this animated film. ![]()
